The Mission & Purpose of
Flamingo Jungle

 

The Flamingo Jungle Foundation, located in the Dominican Republic, aims to rescue and breed El Choco flamingos in a safe and serene environment. Founders Deborah and Jamie Nelson intend to sustain live brine shrimp production as well as encourage flamingo reproduction. Flamingo Jungle Sanctuary is also home to other rescue birds who are breeding on-site.

 

Deborah and Jamie have been fascinated by flamingos for much of their lives and Deborah has written a book that describes flamingos and their qualities.
